Jack and the Beanstalk 2018 starts in
Oh no it won’t!
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 2017
2nd–15th January 2017
After the success of 2016’s pantomime ‘Robin Hood’, the Woodford Pantomime team have come up with a new show to fill the Sir James Hawkey Hall stage with lush, professional costumes, sets and lighting, as well as talented performers, lively tunes and of course, plenty of fun and laughter. This year’s spectacular will be ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The script, written by Ben Crocker, has all the usual panto jaunts and many of the characters you would expect to find in the story (and a few you wouldn’t, like a large talking French poodle!) but don’t expect it to be the Disney version. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was originally a Fairy tale written by a French novelist and published in 1740. This is Woodford’s version and we can promise it will be every bit as enchanting as our previous shows.

Frequently Asked Questions
I would like to be in the next pantomime. When are your auditions?
Auditions are held in June. Please contact Jane at firstname.lastname@example.org for details. Child cast members must be 10 years old unless specifically required for a principal role.
Can my child sit on my lap?
Yes, children up to 2 years can sit on your lap but please be aware that buggies and carseats cannot be taken into the auditorium. Please ask a member of front of house for where it can be stored.
Are there space for wheelchairs?
Yes, but spaces are limited to 2 wheelchairs per performance so book early. The front of house team will be there to give any assistance needed.
Do card payments incur a booking fee?
Yes, we are sorry to say they do.
I am not a performer but would like to get involved. Who do I contact?
We are always looking for helpers in all areas including backstage, front of house and the set up. Please contact Jane at email@example.com if you would like to join the team.
Is it suitable for very young children?
It does rather depend on the child but generally aged two and upwards is best. It is a great introduction to theatre as it really doesn’t matter if they are not completely quiet – in fact we positively encourage it!
Can I take photographs?
No! Copyright and child protection laws forbid it.
How do I organise a birthday call out?
Contact one of the front of house staff on arrival.

If you didn't get a chance to see this year's Woodford Pantomine production at the Hawkey Hall you must put a reminder in your diary now for next year. It was an extremely funny show with some great audience participation that was enjoyed by all.
My grandchildren thought the show was 'fantastic' and they especially loved Buttons. It was the best panto I have seen and will never be going anywhere else in the future!
